I work with adults (17+) who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by anxiety, trauma, depression, chronic stress, and inner conflict. Together, we build self-understanding, nervous system regulation, and the ability to show up in life with more ease and authenticity.
Gurrentz Counseling is a place to slow down and get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface. My approach is grounded, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate mindfulness, parts-based work, and present-focused therapy to help you understand your patterns, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful change.
My mission is to provide a safe, collaborative space where we can slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and heal from anxiety, trauma, and life stress through mindful, compassionate, and present-focused therapy.
Gurrentz Counseling offers in-person sessions in Denver/Lakewood, Colorado and telehealth for clients anywhere in Colorado.
My therapy style is collaborative, grounded, and deeply attuned to the present moment. I integrate mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and parts-based work to help you understand your inner experiences with curiosity rather than judgment, and to support nervous system regulation so you can feel more stable and embodied in daily life.
Together, we can slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and heal from anxiety, trauma, and life stress through mindful, compassionate, and present-focused therapy. The goal is meaningful and sustainable change, including greater emotional regulation and the ability to respond rather than react, clearer boundaries, and feeling more connected to yourself, your values, and what matters most.
My current fee for self-pay is $100/session. I do take insurance through Higher Sights Counseling.
Payment is accepted via Credit/debit card, HSA/FSA.
If you are in need of a sliding scale, please reach out to me directly to discuss your needs and what would work best for you.
I accept in-network insurance (coverage depends on your plan). I can provide superbills (out-of-network reimbursement paperwork), if needed.
I require at least a 24-hour notice for a cancelled session in order to not be charged. If you cancel within the time frame or do not show up, I will need to charge the full session cost. However, I understand life happens so communication is above all else the more important aspect and we can figure out what works best if you cannot make it.
If you are paying out of pocket (or not using insurance), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of services. A Good Faith Estimate shows the expected costs of therapy services. You can request one at any time.
1. Start with a Free Consultation or Intake Session
Reach out to schedule a brief free consultation to discuss your goals and see if we’re a good fit, or book a paid intake session for a more in-depth start.
2. Decide on Session Frequency
Together, we’ll determine how often sessions will be most helpful—weekly, biweekly, or a schedule that works for you.
3. Schedule Your Sessions
Once we’ve decided on a plan, you can schedule your first sessions, either in-person or via secure telehealth, and begin your therapy journey.
If scheduling a full session feels like too much to start, you can email me or request at 15-minute free consultation at the link below by entering your information and then searching my name and we can see if we’re a good fit!
Sessions are typically 50 minutes; although, sessions may go slightly longer than 50 minutes if needed.
I do! If meeting virtually is more comfortable for you, I am more than happy to provide online therapy.
In order for therapy to be the most effective, meeting weekly is preferred. Once we have established our therapeutic relationship, we can move to bi-weekly if that works best for you. Also, depending on financial needs, we can do bi-weekly if meeting weekly feels like too much.
In our intake session, we will take a more “clinical” route where we go through past experiences, family history, mental health symptoms, and therapy expectations. Once our intake session is done, we will get more into what I like to call the “gushy stuff”. This will be less structured and following a more emotions-based and body focused structure.
I handle confidentiality as a pillar of my practice. Everything that happens between us in session remains private and confidential, unless one of the following happens: you sign a release of information for any reason, I suspect child or elder abuse, you are an imminent danger to yourself or others, your records are requested for a criminal court case, or if there is a threat to national security. In addition, I may at times consult with other therapists or my supervisors in order to give you the best care possible, but all of those individuals exist under the same umbrella of confidentiality and no personally identifying factors will be used. All that to say, your information will remain safe.
I provide a safe, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients and people of all backgrounds. I honor each person’s identity, experiences, and culture, and am committed to supporting clients with compassion, respect, and understanding.
Informed Consent & Confidentiality
Therapy is a collaborative and professional relationship built on trust, openness, and mutual understanding. Beginning therapy is a meaningful step, and the process may include exploring difficult emotions, memories, or patterns. While change cannot be guaranteed, I am committed to supporting you with care, consistency, and curiosity as we work toward greater clarity, self-understanding, and alignment with what matters most to you.
Your therapy experience is shaped by your needs and comfort level. We will regularly check in about goals, pacing, and what feels helpful, with an emphasis on helping you build awareness of the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and actions. My approach is grounded in mindfulness, compassion, and the belief that meaningful change happens when we create space between feeling and reacting.
All therapy sessions and records are confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions. Information may be disclosed only if:
At times, I may consult with other professionals to ensure quality care; identifying information is not shared, and all consultants are bound by confidentiality standards. Your privacy is very important to me. If we happen to see each other outside of the therapy setting, I will not acknowledge you unless you initiate contact, in order to protect your confidentiality. By engaging in therapy services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understand this information and consent to treatment.
